I began reloading many years ago and have tried every combination of tumbler media: crushed walnut shells, corn cob media, treated media and various additive polishes.  I was never satisfied with the results.  Even after 6-8 hours of tumbling, my brass looked dull.  Then after nearly a year of experimenting I came up with the right formula and procedure.  I’ve always read that walnut media was best for cleaning and corn cob media was the best for polishing, so why not combine the two.  I also stumbled upon a dry polish that many jewelers use as metal polish.  Combining the polish with a combination of walnut and corn cob media and following  a simple procedure, which I’ll include with the product, my brass is shinier than new.  To top it all off, this is accomplished in about 1 hour of tumbling.
You’ll receive 5 pounds of media, in one 2 gallon size heavy duty freezer bag, instructions for use and some useful tips to make your brass cleaning process less time consuming and more enjoyable.

“Jim, this stuff is amazing!  I am processing a bunch of really grungy bulk 5.56 brass that had been fired in some sort of belt fed weapon then boxed up dirt, bugs and all.  I tumbled it for
30 minutes in some well used corncob to knock the dirt and grease loose then 2 hours in yours and the stuff looks like new including the primer pockets which saves me a step in the process.
I will be ordering more and recommending it to my friends.
I have heard a lot of guys say that shiny brass doesn’t shoot any better.  I am assuming that those guys are driving around in dirty trucks.since clean ones probably don’t drive any better.

Jewler’s Polish Info!
Jewler’s Polish is available in two forms:
1. Stick/Bar form, which is held in it’s shape by the addition of some sort of wax which can make it sticky and oily.
2. Powder form, which has no wax or grease of any kind and is absolutely dry.  This is the type Jeweler’s Polish we use.  It doesn’t stick to dies,
cartridges or firearms. It falls right off with the media after being tumbled.  And best of all, it polishes really well.
