Here is an original Belgian movie poster from the 1st release of Curtis Bernhardt’s drama about love and deceit,

The film marks Davis’s last appearance as a contract actress for Warner, after eighteen years with the studio. She tried several times to walk away from the film (which only caused the production cost to go through the roof), but Warner refused to release her from their employment contract.
She remembered the project as “a terrible movie”,
and her death scene at end in the film as “the longest death scene ever seen on the screen”.
This poster is from the first release of the movie in Belgium in 1949.
It is in good, trimmed condition for its age with a tax stamp. It features beautiful artwork unique to this Belgian release poster. It seldom comes up for sale or auction and would make a great addition to your Better Davis movie poster collection.

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN/SIZE: Belgium  14.5″ x 19.25″
CONDITION:
Good Trimmed Folded Condition.  Partially trimmed top white border has remnants of a former theater snipe and imprinted exhibition information. Some staining/foxing in surrounding white borders. A tax stamp is affixed in lower right corner. Overall slight yellowing to the paper. Artwork is vivid and intact. Folded as originally issued, this poster has been stored flat for the past 21 years and will be shipped rolled in a sturdy tube or box.
